Massey Swallow Screening

If your patient is at risk for aspiration, they are required to be in a chair for these, unless medically unable (i.e. bedrest).

If your patient has dysarthria or aphasia, consult Speech Therapy but continue to do this.
If answering "No" to any of the Water Test questions, do this and notify a provider.
