Victor Adams (1845-1938), a box manufacturer from Little Falls, built one of the first elaborate cottages on the north shore of __ Lake in the town of Webb. he named it "Pine Shadows," the same name his great-grandson Ted Adams used for his camp on the same lake.
Abram Zoller (1882-1962) was a notable state supreme court justice in Herkimer (1938-1952), was the mayor of Little Falls where he grew up, and was the president of the Herkimer County __ Society from 1935-50, for which we thank him!
This 23rd president of the United States had a summer retreat at Fulton Chain (Thendara), built in 1896 after he purchased a 20 acre peninsula between First and Second Lakes in 1895 from #4 Down. (Clue: first name is Benjamin)
Zaida Zoller (1882-1980), twin sister of #6 Across, is best known for her love of animals, helping found the Herkimer County __ Society in 1913. There is a family story of her stopping a circus heading its way to town and making sure the animals were properly taken care of.

Philip Young (1911-1987) of Van Hornesville had a special house guest in 1959 - Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands, heir to the throne, who made a special visit to the schoolchildren. Philip was the United States __ to the Netherlands from 1957-1960.
