Organizational Levels of the Human Body
Horizontales
This system composed of the heart, blood vessels, and blood.
This system is made up of a number of organs that secrete signal molecules called hormones. The hypothalamus, pineal gland, pituitary gland, thyroid gland, thymus, adrenals, pancreas, ovaries (female), and testes (male) are all typical hormone glands.
Consists of skin, hair, sweat glands, oil glands, and nails. Its purpose is to protect your body, regulate your body temperature, prevent water loss, and aid in the production of vitamin D.
The bones, cartilages, ligaments, and joints of your body.
Your mouth, esophagus, stomach, intestines, liver, gallbladder, pancreas, appendix, and rectum are all part of it.
Verticales
This system consists of the female ovaries, vagina, uterus, and mammary glands; or the male testes, penis, prostate gland, and other internal organs.
Contains your lungs, respiratory passages, and diaphragm.
Consists of your kidneys, urinary bladder, ureters, and urethra. It removes waste products from your blood, and it regulates blood pH, ion balance, and water balance.
Consists of a multitude of organs, including your spleen, thymus gland, lymphatic vessels, and lymph nodes. It is sometimes called the immune system because it gets rid of foreign substances such as bacteria, viruses, and fungi that may invade your body.
Consists of the muscles of your body. It powers the movements of your skeleton and maintains your posture when you standstill.
This system is composed of the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and all of your body's sensory receptors.
