Stroke that includes lifting, kneading & intermittent compressions
Bony landmark (and endangerment site) right under ribs; exposed when undraping the abdomen with chest drape (pillowcase)
Increase of blood flow to a particular area in the body
Variations of this stroke include cupping, hacking, tapping. Initially it is stimulating, the longer it is performed it becomes very relaxing; a.k.a. "percussion"
