Horizontales
How much space matter takes up.
The amount of space within an object
Something an object has that helps define it, such as what it looks like. This is also known as physical property.
What is changed in a science lab.
Verticales
A change in the appearance of an object, but does not change what the object is made up of.
Study carefully with your senses of sight, touch, hearing, taste, or smell.
Matter that is not packed together tightly. It has a definite volume but takes the shape of the container it is in. It can pour and may be thick or thin.
Anything that has mass (weight) and takes up space
Loosely held together matter. It has no definite shape or volume. It moves or bounces around quickly.
Tightly packed matter that has a definite shape and volume. It does not appear to move and cannot change shape easily.
