Pharmacology (I-L)

Horizontales
Treats mild to moderate pain, monitor for GI bleeding, hepatitis, SJS, and liver disfunction
Rapid acting insulin, reassess 1-1.5H after administration
Intermediate acting insulin, reassess in 4-12 hours after administration
NSAID, monitor for dizziness, drowsiness & photosensitivity, don't give w/ASA
Oncotic laxative, caution w/diabetics, assess mental status, ammonia levels & abdominal distention
Long acting insulin, no peak time
NSAID & nonopioid analgesic, monitor for GI bleeding, SJS, & anaphylaxis. Never give >5 days
Verticales
AKA INH, Anti TB, avoid tyramine, taken for 6-12 months, taken w/Rifampin, monitor liver function tests
Inhibits the release of thyroid hormones, may cause GI bleeding, hypothyroidism, & goiter
Short acting insulin, reassess in 1.5-2.5H after administration
