Narrative & Character Review

Horizontales
The central character or one of the main characters in the story; usually this character has some type of problem or conflict.

A type of character that is one-dimensional and remains the same throughout the story.
Provides important information about character and setting. This point of the plot diagram helps orient the reader by providing important details. It is usually at the start of the story, but it can be used at any point.
A story based on real events.
A character that opposes the central character or one of the main characters.
When a forward-moving narrative switches to a moment in the past.
The turning point or breaking point of a story. This is the plot point where the tension or suspense in a story peak and the story takes a turn.
The part of the story when all the loose ends are addressed, and the conflict is resolved.
A type of character that is multi-dimensional. This character will change and develop throughout the story.
